Channel 4’s new historical drama, Indian Summers, will have you eager to sample the sights and sounds of India this year.
The 10-part series set in Shimla is being touted in the media as “Downton Abbey goes to India”.
We have a magnificent Indian Summer tour recreating a bygone era of elegant travel, including Business Class flights, fabulous hotels and a private car with driver/guide.
Using luxurious properties such as Claridges, Oberoi and Fairmont, we have combined a classic Golden Triangle tour with a three night extension to Shimla - the historic mountain resort that the British Raj decamped to during the hot Indian summers.
As well as including the renowned sights of northern India such as Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Jaipur (the Pink City), this tour offers a narrow gauge mountain rail journey in Shimla, a rail trip from Kalka to Delhi and Etihad Business Class flights.
