A quick taste of my trip to Inida with thanks to Emirates Airlines and If Only Holidays "Travel made beautiful"

Incredible India
Even the mention of the world gets the senses soaring. Experience has been described as an assault on the senses I would say more like a “SLAUGHTER on the senses”. Sights, sounds smell and tastes all combine to create a once in a lifetime opportunity when you visit this incredible country.

India is the second most populated country in the world behind only China. The whole country is alive. This is one of the immediate things you notice when you arrive in India , the place never seems to slow down. The people are friendly, welcoming and genuinely interested in talking to you.

Culture vultures will be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of world heritage sites  available. From the outstanding Taj Mahal one of the 7 wonders of the world , to the Amber Fort Jaipur (The Pink City), the  Qutub Minar the tallest stone tower in India and Jama Masjid , the largest and best known mosque in India.

Travel in India is varied and exciting from  ,  cycle rickshaws , tuk tuks , horse and camel drawn carriages  as well as elephant rides all add to your experience of this unbelievable country. The train is a major part of Indian life and no trip to India would be complete without taking to the tracks for at least some part of your journey

After a long day of sightseeing there is nothing like retreating to your own private piece of heaven. India has accommodation to suit all tastes and preferences as well as pockets. All the international chains have properties in India so if you are a Hilton / Kympenski person , these properties stand up very well to their European / International counterparts. For breathtaking views of the Taj Mahal we highly recommend staying at the 5* Deluxe Oberoi Amarvillas in Agra. This hotel has accommodated the likes of JFK, Bill Clinton and Geroge Clooney so you are in great company. You may not be able to stay in the €60,000.00 per NIGHT Presidential suite but even the lead in room here is stunning and worth it for the view alone.

Stunning views of the Taj from Oberoi Amarvillas.

However if you would like a more authentic India experience we highly recommend some of the Grand Heritage Hotels. These are varying types of property from grand palaces , magnificent forts and traditional  havelis. All offer a more unusual boutique hotel experience with just a hint more Indian hospitality with outstanding service and facilities. If you want to experience living like a Raj for a few days these are highly recommended.

For foodies again India is a culinary delight. As well as fantastic Indian cuisine there is a wide range of international European dishes to choose from International names are found all over India so you can always feel at home if you get the longing.

You can do any number of combinations to extend tour stay , whether combining the Golden Triangle (Delhi,Jaipur and Agra) with a beach based holiday in Goa/Kerala or may go back to nature to the beauty of the Himalayas and head to Nepal ( very accessible from Delhi). Maybe do 4/5 nights in delightful Dubai when you fly with award winning Emirates airlines. For an extra special trip why not upgrade to business class with Emirates and feel like a celebrity for a few hours. Seychelles , Maldives , Sri Lanak are all easy add ons to India…..so just ask we are sure we can help.
For a truely memorable experience one you will never forget, India is it.
